Update # 68
Yeah, Cardinals!!!
The main task after Jeff's appointment yesterday was World Series Champions gear shopping. Jeff and Ken purchased shirts, cap, mug, and pin. Sorry you relatives and friends from Detroit!
Jeff's appointment went well with Dr. Gauvain at CG. His counts are still pretty good and she was again pleased with how he looked and felt. She was also happy that he is getting out a little while he can. As usual, he'll see her again next Monday at Costas for a check up.
Last Wednesday, Jeff and I went to Barnes for the Stress Echo and the MUGA Scan. The first test was at 7:45 and the second at 10:00. We were out of there around 11:30. Jeff has heard results from both tests -- normal. So the Echo taken around the time of the Sepsis must have just shown his body out of whack. Thank you for all the prayers. Dr. Kurz, the cardiologist, wants to see Jeff again in April 2007 to keep up on how he is doing.
The rest of last week was pretty quiet --mostly watching the World Series. We were talking yesterday how October seemed pretty ordinary especially with no units of blood, platelets or bone marrow tests. Oh, Jeff's insurance now changes over to COBRA until he returns to work.
We should be hearing this week of the transplant date. We are all getting pretty anxious and nervous. Please pray the date is when Dr. Dipersio wants to do it - the week of Thanksgiving.
Thank you one and all for your continued support and prayers for Jeff. They have helped each of us tremendously. I'll send a quick note when we hear the actual date.
love,
Marcia
