Update # 70

Good Afternoon,

It's about 12:30 PM and Jeff is waking up after a long night of chemo.  I'm sure he'll return to sleep after eating some lunch.

Jeff and I got to Costas around 9:15 yesterday morning.  By the time they did the CBC and he signed admitting papers, it was almost 1:00 in the afternoon before going up to 4th Floor.  Jeff happens to be in the same room he was in for the Sepsis complication.

The first kind of chemo started around 3:30 PM for 2 hours.  Now that's important since the 3rd chemo has be given 8 hours after that particular first kind.  The second chemo med started around 6:00 PM.  So of course, at 2:00 AM the 3rd chemo was beginning.  This was the one Jeff had never had before.  He felt nauseous for a little bit but it went away. This chemo is almost navy blue and they call if "Smurf".

Three days of these 3 meds (and their time) means Jeff will come home Thursday morning.  Yes, he will need a Neulasta shot on Friday.  We're not sure if we'll take it home or get it in Hillsboro.

Ken and I will trade places in a couple of hours.  I think I'll wait for the next update after Jeff returns home Thursday.  Thanks for your continued support and prayers.

love,

Marcia
