Update # 101
Day Plus 97
Good Evening,
It's almost Spring and the weather is appropriate -- cool, then warm, and rain thrown in.
Jeff and I were on the road early for an early lab time. The remodeling at Siteman is always interesting. Changes keep happening fairly quickly.
Jeff's counts were all very good today. His anti-rejection medicine level is still at that slightly higher level but in the range they like. And, thank you, the antibody level (the one fighting the "A" blood group), we found out later last week -- dropped in half.
Today was Jeff's seventh bone marrow biopsy in this Leukemia battle. He did well as usual and was sleepy the rest of the day due to the mild sedation. It will be several days to get the results of the test. We should know things by next Monday's appointment.
Our time with the nurse practitioner was brief today. Jeff's lungs sounded clear and he is doing well.
Thursday is that big momentous "Day Plus 100". We pray the biopsy continues to show him clear of Leukemia and the donor is still working in the marrow. Thank you one and all for helping Jeff make it this far in his recovery. We couldn't have made it without you and God.
I'll email again after next week's appointment.
love,
Marcia
