Update # 218

14 years

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Jeff remained at home improving each day through November 22nd.  He continued with the lung exercises.  Each day the cough diminished and now we rarely hear a slight cough.

Monday Nov. 23rd is when Jeff returned to work.  Fortunately, he did not have the severe fatigue you might hear some people exhibit following COVID.  He has been able to work full days and feel normal.

Meridith also stayed home for 2 weeks quarantined from school.  Her COVID test came back negative.

Jeff's family doctor had him tested for COVID antibodies.  Yes, there are antibodies in him.  The test does not give a number.  No one knows how long these antibodies will remain in his body.

I truly believe Jeff helped keep this COVID a mild case by using his home nebulizer when the cough began.  Medicine in his lungs was very beneficial.  Plus, Jeff is still taking the daily long-term Penicillin from Dr. DiPersio.  He will eventually go to the Winter coverage from October thru March.

A handful of heavy-duty diagnoses -- Hodgkin's, secondary AML, stem cell transplant, RSV pneumonia (the nastiest of all), and COVID.  I told Jeff -- no more -- 5 is more than enough.  He has been blessed with healing from God and prayers beyond measure from each of you.

2020 has been quite a year for all of us.  Jeff's annual StL June appointment was done by phone call.  Who knows if he'll feel safe traveling next June to see Dr. DiPersio in person.  At least we know a vaccine will be coming to us soon.

Thank you dear family and friends for always praying with us for Jeff.  He's an amazing man of faith and you help him every step of the way.  Please stay safe and healthy.  2021 is almost here!!!

love, Marcia
