Update #215
This morning labs included checking Jeff's blood type so he can receive convalescent plasma. The plasma is more readily available so Jeff should receive it within 24 hours. The antibodies will help recovery.
A chest x-ray was taken this morning but Jeff has not yet heard of any result.
Jeff's pulmonologist came in this morning. Jeff mentioned to him that during the night, Jeff thought he had shortness of breath walking to the bathroom. The doc said this is to be expected. He also said Jeff sounded good. To help keep the lungs open and clear, a VibraPEP and a spirometer were brought to the room for Jeff to use each hour.
Dose 2 of Remdesivir was given late afternoon.
Jeff is on 1 liter of oxygen and causing some dryness in his nose. Respiratory recently brought in a humidifier to help give some moisture.
Phone calls with family and friends helped pass some time today. Jeff is noticing how lonely a hospital room is with no visitors.
We all thank you for your continued prayers. We know how powerful they are in helping Jeff's recovery.
love, Marcia
