Update # 208
10 YEARS
Good Afternoon,
Yes, you read that correctly -- 10 years since Jeff's stem cell transplant! Amazing, isn't it? On one hand, time has gone slowly with various medical ups and downs. But on the other hand, time has flown with so many blessings.
Jeff is doing well. He has been extra busy this Fall. Besides his normal newscast directing, Jeff was asked by the company to help with new graphics and logo that is being launched to all of their stations which I believe is now 20.
He and Meridith were also busy this Fall with moving into their first home. They purchased a nine-year-old condo that fits them perfectly. It's been fun helping them get settled.
We're not with Jeff on this day but did celebrate the occasion in November. Ken and I had hoped to attend the annual Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Gala in StL but we were helping in the new condo. They did send Jeff a Gala shirt from that evening to celebrate his 10 years. 2006 was a year the Cardinals won the World Series so we purchased a replica World Series ring for Jeff. Some friends also gave Jeff a replica World Series trophy from 2006. That was a memorable year!
I just wanted to touch base with all of you to give our thanks for your continued love, support, and prayers. Matt, you're currently far away in Germany but your stem cells are still working wonders here in the States. Thanks just doesn't seem enough to say for these 10 years. We pray God continues to not only bless and protect Jeff but each of you as well.
With deepest affection,
Marcia
