Good Evening,

Just a quick note to let you know that Jeff is now a married man.  The wedding service that he and Meridith planned was wonderful and very powerful.  Meridith looked beautiful in her grandmother's dress and Jeff was handsome in his tux.

The weather cooperated for Jeff.  He has been feeling well but wanted an overcast day to help his eyes.  And his eyes started out fine but I noticed the bright camera flashes had him squinting after a while.

A light snow began to fall during the reception.  There was a dusting on the ground when everyone left but the roads were wet and clear.  Waterloo had 2 inches by the next morning but all out of state family made it home safely.  (My brother could have made money by renting his snow brush to everyone who used it!)

It was a very emotional weekend for Ken and me.  We had too many memories of the uncertainty during the last seven years  Ken made it through his part of the wedding service just fine.  And did well with his quick changes of tux to vestments and tux again (reminiscent of my dad).  I must tell you that we received a wonderful gift before we left for Iowa from the parents of Jeff's donor.  They sent a card with a very uplifting personal note along with a hankie embroidered with "Mother of the Groom".  The hankie was with me all day.  I purposely held it during my Mother/Son dance (Jeff chose Josh Groban's 'You Raise Me Up') giving thanks to God for Matt and his stem cells for making that dance possible.   Thanks for your thoughtfulness, Mary Jo.

Jeff and Meridith have no time now for a honeymoon.  They do have to come down in 2 weeks for Jeff's StL appointment.  We hope to see many of you on the 14th at our IL reception for them.

So thank you one and all for your past prayers through the years and for your future prayers.  Your continued love and support was what made this last weekend possible.  God has truly blessed us.

There were some medical changes in Nov. but I'll do an "update" on everything after 12-15.

love,

Marcia
