Update # 31.5

Good Morning,

Things are going well for Jeff.  Graduation went very well right on time.  We partied from Thursday till Sunday with friends and family.

He returns home today from a trip to San Diego.  Operation Liftoff is located in St. Louis and takes 15 teens (with cancer or recovering) there yearly for 6 nights and 5 days.  All expenses paid!!!  They are having an absolutely wonderful time.  Volunteers from StL plus 3 nurses travel with the kids.  Then volunteers in San Diego help out.  They stayed at a resort right on Mission Bay.  Yacht ride, wild animal park, Sea World, Old Town, sailing and lots of beach time filled the days.  Some of you may wonder why not the zoo. They have found the zoo too hilly for some of the kids so the same company owns the wild animal park and the park has a monorail for them to ride.

Jeff will be at Wartburg College for the week of July 8-12 for his broadcast workshop.  The 8th is also a registration day so it works well for us.  He will sign up for his classes in the morning and then begin his workshop at 1:00.  We're taking a few days to travel north to Owatonna, MN and Mall of America till we pick him up on Friday.

Monday the 15th of July is Jeff's next complete battery of tests.  CBC, PET Scan, CAT Scan and chest x-ray.  We should have all results by the end of that week.  I'll again let you know the results.  He is doing remarkably well.

His dream job of working at Radio Shack for the summer did not come through but Dairy Queen seems to be doing just fine.  Now if only he'd quit bringing blizzards home at the end of his shifts!!!

Love,

Marcia
