Update # 25
Good Afternoon,
Another quiet uneventful week at our home. Since there was no school on Monday, the church youth group had their annual overnight lock-in beginning Sunday evening. They guys returned home about 6:45 AM. They had an enjoyable time and Jeff did well and stayed awake all night. They slept till supper time that day.
Jeff went to school on Tuesday to begin his last semester of high school. Some classes are the same and some are new. He had a study hall (has not had one of those since his freshman year) but decided to volunteer in the counselor's office during that hour. He was in attendance all four days this week.
Dr. Roy, the radiation oncologist, wanted a CBC and other blood work before the simulation on Monday. When home health came Wed., she drew the blood and sent faxes to everyone. Most counts are in the normal range. The white count is still a little low but it will be with radiation. We go down Monday for the markings and CT scan before Round 2 of radiation begins. Jeff feels great and everyone comments on how wonderful he looks.
We continually are thankful that you give us your support and prayers. Next week I'll have more information on what we expect to be Jeff's last course of treatment. Talk to you then.
Love,
Marcia
