Update # 23
Good Afternoon,
Five full days of school!!! That's a first so far this year for Jeff and me. It was actually "normal". Jeff stayed after school on Wednesday to finish catching up in one class. Now it's just a matter of finals next week.
The week brought no surprises and was really routine. We all attended the meetings at night that we needed to attend. We even were able to help with the Band Boosters chili/soup supper. Ken and I went to my school's "holiday party" last evening. We were actually back to passing at various times like families with teenagers!
Jeff is doing great medically. We still do our daily broviac flushes. Jeff did put himself back on Zantac 150. I don't know if you remember when he was on chemo and he had stomach pains near the beginning. Dr. Chu gave him Zantac 150 twice a day and that cleared it up. After chemo stopped, Jeff was not taking Zantac and felt no pain. Near the end of radiation, Jeff noticed he was burping more than usual and could taste that acid reflex stuff. He tried the Zantac and it helped. Most days he only takes one to keep things calm.
Two more weeks of being at home with no appointments until the 28th. We all appreciate the prayers you continue to offer on Jeff's behalf. Take care.
Love,
Marcia
