Update # 11

Good Evening,

Jeff started feeling better last Saturday.  He even did a few hours of homework from those 4 missed days.  Sunday he felt almost back to normal and did some more homework.

Dr. Chu wanted a blood count on Monday so home health came at 7:30 before Jeff left for school.  Counts were very good so we knew chemo course 5 would begin Friday on schedule.  Monday through Thursday were normal quiet days.  Jeff went to school all days and even stayed after on 3 of them to catch up on Tech Lab.

Late Thursday afternoon, Ramona and the kids came in from Tulsa to see Jeff.  Doug had work that needed to be done and couldn't come along.  They went with Jeff and me to Costas Center on Friday.  Jeff had an x-ray and CBC.  X-ray looks about the same - maybe a tad lighter.  Counts were OK for chemo but hgb is dropping so when he gets outpatient on Tuesday, he'll also get some blood.  Ken came down after work to spend the night with Jeff.  Naturally, he stopped at Ted Drewes and filled the orders we had placed.  After we ate our T.D's, Ramona, Katy, Jacob and I headed to St. Clair Square to do a little shopping before going home.  We all returned to Cardinal Glennon this morning to see Jeff.  Ken then headed home to do some work.  Ramona and the kids left a little later.  We really enjoyed having them visit for a few days.  Jeff and I stayed to finish his chemo and then headed home ourselves.  Typical days in patient - he got sick a couple of times each day.

Things are going as planned.  Thanks for all the prayers.  Talk to you next Saturday.

Love,

Marcia
